Have you ever leave a comment on a blog in order to gain traffic from it?
If yes, did it works?
Some people leave a comment to get a backlink to their website, others to connect with other bloggers. After spending some time observing blog comments from different blogs, I see that there are at least five types of blog comments left by people that drew attention from the blog author.
1. The first comment
After you post, the first notification that appears would be the first comment left by your reader. No matter what it says, the first comment will be notified by you as the owner of the blog. Thus, if you do the same to other blogs, you may gain their recognition for being the first to left a comment.
2. The long (or longest) comment
This kind of blog comments typically stand out from the crowd. When you write something very long, people will notice you. It means you take the topic seriously, and you have a thing to say. Nevertheless, it makes you sounds serious, whether you are serious or not.
3. The question
When you ask something in the blog comment section, people who’s interested in the topic being discussed will interested in answering you, or at least the author does.
Ask something controversial but also smart, and watch how people will reacts to your comment.
4. The trolling comment
You may see this kind of comment in 9GAG. People who loves sarcasm tend to leave a trolling response.
On YouTube, people say stupid but also funny things, and yes, they do success in getting attention.
5. The Typography
This is not a comment technically, for it being just an image consisting of arranged letters.
However, this kind of comments are meant to entertain people. And of course, it can drew a lot of attention.
Now you know how to drew attention (and perhaps gaining traffic) from doing blog commenting. Tell the world how you drew attention by leaving a comment below.
